General Information
Texas Government Code, Chapter 469, requires construction projects in Texas with an estimated construction cost of $50,000 or more to be reviewed and inspected for compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS).
Plan Review Submittals
Typically, we review projects* in the order we receive them from our clients. Upon completion of the review, you will receive a detailed and comprehensive report. If you have a request to have a plan review expedited, please contact us so we can arrange time to accommodate you.
If you are in the Greater Austin Area, please feel free to contact our office for our free, convenient pickup service.
* Projects are required to be submitted within 20 days of issue.
A complete submittal for plan review service shall include:
- One set of signed & sealed construction documents, including specifications and MEP if available.
- Accessibility Design Associates, Inc. plan review fee.
- Proof of Submission Form (click here for form).
- A completed Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Project Registration Form or On-line Registration Confirmation Page.
Note: If you wish our office to register your project, you must submit a
completed registration form along with the TDLR filing fee. TDLR now
requires the filing fee to be paid at the time of on-line registration.

Inspections
An Inspection Request Form must be completed prior to performing an inspection.
Projects are required to be inspected within one year of the scheduled completion date* indicated on the TDLR Project Registration Form. It is recommended that projects be inspected as soon after completion as possible. Upon completion of the inspection, you will receive a detailed and comprehensive report. (*Travel time, if required outside of the Greater Austin Area, will be billed as an additional service charge.
* Written notification is required if the scheduled completion date is changed.
